It’s been a hive of activity today at think with furniture arriving and being put in the right places. No matter how we’ve designed the layout on paper, there’s nothing like shuffling around actual furniture to see how it all works.
We’ve planned it out with graph paper and cutout desks. We’ve used an old Ikea room planner for Windows that hasn’t been updated since 2007. Today though, with 10 desks, 18 chairs, 5 tables, a cupboard, 4 dividers and 3 hatstands, we shuffled them for real. Thankfully, we didn’t have to take them apart to get them through the door and we only once caught the fresh paint on the door (sorry Stavros).
Now we can get the electrician in to put the cabling in the right place and we’re moving one of the heaters too so that it’s more central and whoever is sat at that desk doesn’t suffer warm flushes.
Next week we’ve some carpet to go in in the back office, although we’ve not decided what to do with that room yet. It’d possibly make a good office for three people in the same company. If that’s you, please get in touch.
Below are a few shots as it looks today. Nearly there.
